ahh i miss monday night classes. the local belly dance class is no longer because of a lack of interest. the nearest is a 30 min drive, it is VERY cabaret (although no one uses the word cabaret in germany) and its expensive. very little shows or festivals. a small SMALL handful a year.
the one local troupe doesnt do shows at all and their practice time wont work with me because its when my husband is still at work and i cant get a regular sitter .

i gotta tell you....germany is NOT workign out well for me dance wise. granted my tribal belly dance dvd collection is now growing as a necessity....and this is has pretty much deemed i am going to have to do nothing but solo shows. ive tried finding a partner.....no such luck. its just not popular here. and even the small festivals that do happen here.....are not in my area of germany...their in the north or in other countries but i can count on one hand how many a year that do tribal...and its not even a total of 5.

so now my best bet........buy more dvd's.....convince some military mommies to learn belly dance and try to teach them the best my level can possibly teach in my house and set up shows myself in the area and get the intrest going again...if i can get the interest level up, at least the belly dance class that was in my town might open back up..even that is not tribal but at least its a class!!

so now the question..how to get people interested...and how to get the military interested in letting me set up a show on post...hmm...
